It was good and I was full too. Service was fast enough and the food was tasty. No over-Greek, but the quality is good and the place, etc. clean. I don't need the ouzo and dessert, but okay.

Had dinner here with friends today. I chose this Greek restaurant because of the good reviews here on Google. And I have to say: Wow! Sooooo delicious! As a starter there was a soup on the house and the boss drank an ouzo with us, which was also on the house. Our main course was delicious and nicely presented. The service was very friendly and brisk. Oh yes, there was even a delicious dessert, also on the house. 😉😋 We will come back in any case.

So unfortunately our visit was a single service disaster. We had a reservation for 6 p.m. and unfortunately it was raining. So we had to wait half an hour until we got a seat in the restaurant (heaps of empty tables). Apparently we are not regular customers. The order came one hour after the reservation. Politeness also seems to be more of a foreign word. Ordering drinks was also wrong. Starter (soup from the kitchen) came after 1 ½ hours! To eat: Starters: peppers, beans, farmer's salad, zucchini with tzatziki Hot peppers, beans and zucchini were very good. The small farmer's salad was ok but way too expensive (8.50 €), price performance unsatisfied. Main course (came after 2h45min): Rhodes plate 3x, ouzo plate, gyros All main courses were delicious. However, we are at the Greek and if it says tzatziki it would be good if there was enough for the portion. Everything can be seen in the pictures. Overall impression. Cozy restaurant, bad service, good food. Price / performance rather bad. You can't even pay with a card. Really now we are in 2020. The answer to our question whether it would be normal that we would have to wait so long, despite reservation: It would have rained and you would be overwhelmed ??? Just extremely badly organized and very poor service. Here people walk because of every glass instead of using a tray. You don't get menu cards even though the waitress has walked past countless times, etc. The 2 stars are only given because the meat tasted good.

The food was good. The owners were great host. Soup, salad, main course, ouzo, and a desert. All was included in the meal.

Vibes are great inside. The owner is very friendly and shows one of the best customer services in the local area. The food portions were beyond my expectation. I would recommend this place for friends and family because of the great atmosphere and design of the restaurant.

Metaxa is the best Greek restaurant in the area! Great service from a friendly staff, traditional dishes with ample portions, real Greek wine, and authentic Greek music. I felt like we'd left Germany. Complimentary shot of ouzo at the end. Highly recommended!

This was my 1st visit. Amazing food and decent prices for portion sizes. Dinner came with bread and soup. Owner was high energy, smiling and friendly!

For the first and last time! Apart from the fact that the cola was no longer carbonated and the vegetables had lost their color, there was a very unappealing employee who was only on the cell phone and cursed loudly ... My conclusion: Cola that was open for at least one day and the vegetables were at least 2 days old and an employee who had an aggressive appearance. If you like it and have fun with it, I would not recommend this Greek!

Metaxa is one of my favorite Greek Restaurants. The food is so delicious. Every bite is packed with flavor. The servings are more than enough. There is a wide variety of foods to choose from in the menu at a reasonable price. The staff is always awesome and I have never had a bad experience in any of my 9 years eating here.

Metaxa is a place which can be home to anyone willing. A Greek atmosphere, filled with Americans in Germany. Quite the mix! Let's go through the restaurant triangle. The food: well seasoned, tender and homemade dishes, served in sequence for a nice flow. The price: spot on, average 3 course meal ~$15 The service: warm, welcoming and has proven time and again to be excellent. Καλύτερα από ότι μπορείτε να βρείτε στην Ελλάδα. 5/5

The food, service and ambience were outstanding. I had the #95 and it was absolutely amazing!! The owner brought out ouzo several times to our table (on a tennis racket) and did shots with us. They also included a complimentary dessert (little doughnut/funnel cake bites) and it was ABSOLUTELY delectable. Will SURELY be back!!

This place could easily go from being Good to being Great just by hiring a bus boy and implementing the option to pay by card. The food is excellent. The owner is awesome, very friendly. You are likely to be given shots and desserts even if you didn't order them. But, you are also likely to have to wait the same amount of time you spent eating just to pay your bill, which is cash only. If you could pay as soon as you're done eating with a credit card, this would be one of the best restaurants in the area.

Food was great! We were served with soup and bread to start, followed by a salad and then our main dishes. Dinner ran about 20€ per person.

Good service and fair prices. We liked the appetizer. Unfortunately, I didn't get my meat well done. There is no comment on the menu about the meat being medium cooked. After requesting for them to cook it all the way through they returned it still rare.
